In his autobiography, Benjamin Franklin wrote that each morning he asked himself, “What good shall I do today?” Not a bad way to start the day.
If you’re still figuring out your 2021 resolutions, here are a few I’m aiming for. Many of you already do this kind of thing—but a little nudge never hurts:
- Overtip the cleaning staff. They had a tough 2020, and without their tireless efforts, our photos wouldn’t look as good and our hotel rooms wouldn’t be as clean.
- Be thankful for every interaction, and give at least one sincere compliment to someone each day. “Cool shoes!” “Your positivity is infectious!”
- Be patient and helpful in every situation. People are carrying a lot of stress and don’t need anything else to worry about.
2020 was wild, big changes, less sleep, and a lot of adapting. But we made it through, learned some new tricks, and kept helping people buy, sell, and rent homes in the Florida Keys.
