One of the largest and most regal homes I’ve photographed was Villa Lago. At nearly 10,000 square feet, this 2011 D’asign Source-built home was not just impressive in scale, it came with two of the friendliest owners I’ve met in a long time.
They were present during the shoot and proudly shared stories behind the hand-picked design materials throughout the home, each tied to their past travels. One detail that really stuck with me was the barrel tile roof, which, according to them, cost about as much as the annual GDP of a small country.
