Iberia Bank Building
Ever been locked inside an empty bank all by yourself? I have, and it was one of the creepiest shoots I’ve done so far. The place was dead silent, every step echoing like I was in a vault. While I was there, an unmarked box truck pulled into the lot, idled for a minute, and then drove off. A little while later, the police rolled through, looked around, and left without knocking or saying a word. Nobody ever came to check in. I was half-expecting a security guard or a ghost to pop out at any moment.
Rumor has it the building is being renovated into a restaurant. Hard to picture people sipping wine where teller windows once stood. But stranger things have happened. I’ll say this—the corner office on the top floor had one of the best views in town. Someone definitely cashed out with that one.
